Man was this a tough one for me. I really struggled to understand what my business actually sells. The company I got give is Spectris. Basically from my understanding is that they are an engineering company that produce equipment and software that enable companies to produce products safely and more productively. Please correct me if I'm wrong as I'm still not confident that that's what they do.
Spectris is a large company with a revenue of 1,292.0 million pounds. They employee 7600 employees throughout their businesses. The firm didn't miss a heart beat through the pandemic as they adjusted fairly quickly. They moved people to working at home for their employees safety and health. Due to the firm manufacturing equipment for the pharmaceutical companies, their revenue spiked in the pharmaceutical sector.
Spectris strategy for the past three years was for profitable growth. 2019 they started by establishing the strategy for profitable growth, 2020 they focused on delivering through the pandemic and in 2021 it was about seeing the progress. In 2021 they sold some business to keep the firm to an asset-light business.
